Wood Pellets

ABOUT WOOD PELLETS

Wood pellets are heating fuels made from wood or plant by-products, most often sawdust or wastes from sawmills or wood products manufacturers. They are a compressed biomass product, produced with a low moisture content for optimal burning time and temperature. Wood pellets are stored and distributed in various bags sizes or, in bulk in large silos where delivery trucks are loaded for distribution to the storage units of the customer. From here, unless it is a small pellet boiler using bagged pellets, the entire system is automated. The pellets are mechanically delivered to burner, and the boiler provides hot water to your baseboard radiation, radiators or radiant floor heating system as well as domestic hot water for your kitchen and bathrooms.
